After all these years, it's hell coming into to work every day. I mean it's not like I loved it before but any more it's become a chore just getting out of bed. You just never know what new rule the Powers that Be (PTB) are going to think of. Do they go to bed at night thinking of new rules. First its no jeans. Does someone have a jeans fetish, come on, who cares if people wears jeans? Some of the "professionals" look like they just rolled out of bed in their suits. No SNEAKERS. If you need to wear them get a doctors note. Bet it pissed them off that people actually went out and got those doctor's notes. No one cared if people had to go out to buy clothes. I heard some of the supervisors stated it won't cost that much to go out and buy new shoes and a few pair of pants. Unfreakinbelievable. Rumor has it that a new dress code is coming down that people can't wear khakis. Boy did that push a few supervisors over the edge. Then they were saying they can't afford to go out and buy new clothes. What the hell is the difference? Why does it cost more for them to buy a few pair of pants then for you or me?
Then you have the brilliant idea that everyone has to work core hours. Now this does not in any way affect me other than I'm going to hit more traffic. Idiots, that's what these people are. This new idea is suppose to serve the public better. Let's work this out. Right now phones are answered anywhere between 7:30 and 5:00. Starting on September 6, if the people in this building are smart, no phone will be answered before 8:30 or after 4:30 (or 5:00 depending on when you start). Yep, they are right, this will totally serve the public better. They have the nerve to say "All of us accept a public salary and benefits and we are therefore here at the convenience of the citizens of the State of New Jersey who want or need the services LWD provides. " DUH! Someone comes in, reads an old memo about hours and thinks he knows best. Please, you have been here a few months at best, we know our job, why we are here and that we get paid. We also know that most of us earned our salary and our title. DID YOU?
There are so many rumors going around this building. RUMORS mind you. About how this one got their title, or how this one got hired. Not sure if I'm going to say anything about that. I could, of course, talk about the rumors with just initials of the people but that would be way to easy to figure out.
For now...I'm out until I need to rant a little more.
